Ochun, originally named for a river in Yorubaland (Nigeria), is the Orisha of sweet waters, laughter, erotic love, luxury, and all that makes life worth living.  She is beloved in Afrocaribbean and Brazilian traditions like Santeria, Lucumi, and Candomble, and is even part of New Orleans voodoo.
