Rosemary, as Shakespeare said, is for remembrance.  It enhances the sacredness of any occasion.  Rosemary is protective in a feminine, nurturing way, enhancing its association with the Virgin Mary, the Catholic figure of the Great Mother.  It fortifies confidence as well.
